Athletes who reside in the Campbelltown, Camden, Liverpool or Wollondilly Local Government Areas are encouraged to nominate for an opportunity to access high-performance coaching, athlete development, strength and conditioning, sports science, education and wellbeing support as they progress through their sporting pathway.

2026 Female Football Program
The Academy is excited to launch a new dedicated Female Football Program.
The program will provide an emerging development opportunity for talented young female athletes aged 13–18 years participating across Aussie Rules, Rugby League and touch football codes.
The program will focus on cross-code technical skill development, Strength and conditioning, athlete education, high-performance pathway preparation, and female athlete empowerment through personal growth and development.
The initiative will provide emerging female athletes with access to a structured development environment while supporting their progression within their chosen sport and broader high-performance pathway.
2026/27 Future Champions
The Academy is also seeking nominations for its Wests Group Macarthur Future Champions Program, designed to support emerging athletes aged 13 to 18 years old who are committed to developing not only as athletes, but as leaders and individuals.
The program is designed to complement athletes’ existing sporting pathways and provide development opportunities beyond the traditional training environment, targeted at emerging, Olympic and Paralympic sporting disciplines.
Overall, through the support of its major partner, the Campbelltown Catholic Club and local councils of Campbelltown, Camden, Liverpool and Wollondilly, all Academy programs are designed to develop the whole athlete, providing young people with access to a wealth of opportunities and support, including high-quality coaching within a high-performance squad environment and curriculum, Strength & Conditioning assessment and individualised programming and more.
SWSAS Sport Programs Manager Stephen Craig said the Academy’s programs are designed to provide athletes with the environment, support and opportunities required to take their next step.
“Our objective is to empower emerging athletes across South West Sydney to reach their potential, both in their chosen sport and beyond it.
Our Academy programs provide access to quality coaching, performance support, education and development opportunities that can make a genuine difference to an athlete’s pathway.
But most importantly, they exist to provide an opportunity for local talent to be identified and looked after within their home region in South West Sydney”
Nominations for the 2027 programs remain open throughout September 2026, with selected programs commencing in Term 4, 2026, as athletes begin their preparation for the 2027 Academy year.
