Basketball

Nominations for the 2026/27 program are now open

The CCAS Basketball program is delivered in partnership with Basketball NSW and the Regional Academies of Sport (RAS) network.

The Development Academy Program (DAP) is the primary athlete identification and development program for athletes aged Under 14 and Under 15 delivered by RAS in partnership with Basketball NSW.
Athlete selection is based on long-term development potential rather than current performance alone.

The program aims to:
  • Identify emerging regional talent.
  • Develop basketball fundamentals and game understanding.
  • Deliver structured coaching and competition experiences.
  • Prepare athletes for progression into Basketball NSW Performance Programs.
