The WSAS High Performance Strength & Conditioning Program provides evidence‑based training focused on strength, movement quality, speed, and injury prevention. Athletes complete physical assessments and follow Academy‑endorsed pathways with personalised programming and expert guidance.
 
WSAS offers three Strength & Conditioning pathways through key partners: Sydney West High Performance (SWHP),  Hills Sports High School/ASSA, and HrdKAW Strength & Conditioning. Each pathway delivers high‑quality coaching, structured athlete development, and flexible training environments aligned to individual performance goals.

Sydney West High Performance

Delivered by Sydney West Sports Medicine – High Performance Division (SWHP) at the state‑of‑the‑art Blacktown Exercise, Sports & Technology Hub (BEST).

WSAS athletes are exclusively offered this first‑class opportunity to enhance their strength and conditioning knowledge and skills through the Sydney West High Performance Long‑Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Partner Support Program.

Program Benefits

Athletes who join the SWHP Performance Program receive:

  • 3 × expertly supervised athlete gym sessions per week
  • Personalised training programs based on WSAS–SWHP assessment profiles
  • Weekly gym and field session timetables
  • Access to the BEST Performance Facility, including pool and hydro recovery
  • 15% partnership discount on SWHP and Sydney West Sports Medicine services

 

Cost: $38.50 per week (minimum 6 months)
WSAS subsidy: $200 one‑off discount

Hills Sports High / ASSA

Delivered by Australian Sport Speed Agility (ASSA) and renowned speed specialist Ranell Hobson at Hills Sports High School.

The Hills Sports High Athlete Performance Support Program delivers strength and conditioning through individual athlete development programming and mentoring.

Program Benefits

Athletes who join the HSH Performance Program receive:

  • 2 × weekly supervised sessions with personal coaching led by Ranell Hobson
  • Expert‑led training focused on injury prevention, strength, power, and movement
  • Safe and supportive environment (no prior gym experience required)
  • Group training session options
  • Access to the Hills Sports High gym with flexible schedules

Cost: $400 per school term
WSAS subsidy: $200 one‑off discount

Venue: Hills Sports High School
56 Best Road, Seven Hills NSW (Fitness Centre front entrance)

Timetable: Mondays & Wednesdays, 4:00–6:00pm

 

HrdKAW Strength

Delivered by proud partner and five‑time Olympian Melissa Wu at the HrdKAW Strength Gym.

The HrdKAW Athlete Performance Support Program provides long‑term athlete development through structured S&C training and individual mentoring.

Program Benefits

Athletes who join the HrdKAW Strength Performance Program receive:

  • Coaching by Melissa Wu, Raagini Rampal, and Josh Wu
  • Individual performance testing covering mobility, functional movement, strength, muscular endurance, and power
  • Up to 3 × monitored S&C gym sessions per week
  • Subsidised rates for WSAS Scholarship Athletes

Cost: $600 (12‑week program)
WSAS subsidy: $300 one‑off discount

Venue: 4/7 Melissa Place, Kings Park NSW

Hawksbury LGA:  Oasis YMCA

Hawkesbury Oasis YMCA are generously offering WSAS Athletes in the Hawkesbury LGA a complimentary membership until the end of June 2026.

Forms must be signed by a parent or guardian.

Please note athletes will need to adhere to Centre conditions of entry including age limits. Details of age limits and entitlements are detailed below.

Complimentary membership for athletes will cover access to the Centre based on the age group information below until the end of June 2026.

  • Athletes aged 11-15 will have access to the Teen Gym membership which offers access between 3pm and 5pm Monday – Friday by themselves. Alternatively, if athletes attend with a full paying member above the age of 18, they can visit the centre and train at any time.
  • Athletes aged 16 and over will join the student membership which offers full access to the centre including the gym, group fitness, pool and spa/steam/sauna.
  • If there are any parents who wish to accompany their children, the YMCA are happy to offer a fitness direct debit membership which is $50.50 per fortnight

 

Blue Mountains LGA: Blue Mountains Leisure Centres

Blue Mountains Leisure Centres are generously offering WSAS Athletes in the Blue Mountains LGA a complimentary 6 month full centre membership, conditions apply check the WSAS website for full details.
