Cycling Performance Support
Nominations for the 2026/27 program open in July
The WRAS Cycling program is part of a partnership with the Regional Academies of Sport (RAS) and AusCycling NSW.
This year, the WRAS Cycling program will focus on cycling specific performance support.
Athletes will have access to specialised strength and conditioning as well as cycling-specific education that matches the current focus of the rider. Athletes are encouraged to remain heavily engaged with their local club in order to practically implement the skills and capabilities subsequently developed.
RAS remains engaged with AusCycling to deliver the best training experience and cyclist development possible without creating conflicting pathways.
WRAS Cyclists are encouraged to compete in the Australian Junior Track Series and the Australian Junior Road Series. WRAS athletes can expect to compete among the best riders in the state with the program preparing athletes for performance at the National Track and National Road Championships.
