Swimming

Nominations for the 2026/27 program open now

Closes 31st July

The HAS Swimming program is delivered in partnership with Swimming NSW and the Regional Academies of Sport (RAS) network. The program is recognised as a development pathway program for talented young swimmers.

Delivered across four full-day workshops, the program gives selected athletes access to performance support systems normally reserved for elite swimmers, while complementing their existing club training.

Athletes will take part in pool-based testing and analysis, including physiology, biomechanics, wearable technology, video feedback, starts and turns analysis, strength and power development, mobility, recovery, nutrition, mental skills and race performance education.

Delivered with support from experienced coaches, sport scientists, strength and conditioning specialists, NUsport Performance Centre experts and University of Newcastle researchers, the program provides valuable insights to support each swimmer’s future development.

At the conclusion of the program, swimmers will receive a personalised athlete report summarising testing outcomes, key findings and individual recommendations.
