Surf Life Saving

The NCAS Surf Life Saving program is delivered in partnership with Surf Life Saving NSW and the Regional Academies of Sport (RAS) network.

This program provides a high‑performance development pathway for talented young Surf Life Savers, focusing on technical skills, strength and conditioning, athlete education, and personal growth. 

Athletes receive targeted skill development, seasonal training support, and preparation for high‑performance trials. The program includes practical education in areas such as S&C, nutrition, sports psychology and injury management, along with opportunities to represent NCAS at events  and camps.

This program is by invitation only.

Program Partners

Selected athletes receive:

  • High‑quality coaching in a squad environment
  • Access to quality training facilities
  • Strength & Conditioning assessment and programming
  • Sports science testing and high‑performance training support
  • Opportunities to represent NCAS at events
  • Education in technical, tactical, and personal Skateboarding development
  • Academy uniform kit (additional cost)

To be eligible for selection into the RAS/NCAS Surf Lifesaving Program athletes must be identified and invited by Surf Life Saving NSW.

Regional athletes have been selected 15-17 years of age and connected to their closest Regional Academy (ie. NCAS)
