Southern Sport Academy’s Jacob McLachlan represents Australia at YSD International Track Series

Southern Sports Academy Future Stars athlete Jacob McLachlan recently travelled to Malaysia as part of the AusCycling Australian U17 Development Team, competing at the YSD International Track Series against riders from Malaysia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Japan.

Jacob returned home with an impressive medal haul — claiming gold in the Team Pursuit and Elimination Race, silver in the Team Sprint, Scratch Race and Omnium, and also competing in the Keirin and Points Race.

It’s a strong result on the international stage for the young Wagga Wagga cyclist, and another example of what our SSA athletes are capable of when given the opportunity to compete at the highest level.

Congratulations, Jacob.
