RAS plays a key role in Australia’s high-performance pathways, preparing talented pre-elite athletes across multiple sports for the demands of elite competition. Through a holistic, athlete-centred approach, RAS develops both elite performers and future leaders in sport and the community.
Indigenous Talent Identification Programs

Each year, with the support of UAA, RAS hosts a range of Indigenous Talent Identification programs and events across multiple regions, creating pathways and development opportunities for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander athletes.
Para Athlete Programs
In partnership with Paralympics Australia & NSWIS
Our RAS Para-Athlete Programs support disability athletes from grassroots to elite levels in their own home regional areas, ultimately increasing Australia’s representation and medal success at future Commonwealth and Paralympic Games.
