Former Central Coast Academy of Sport athlete Matt Graham has been named as one of Australia’s flag bearers for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games

Former Central Coast Academy of Sport athlete and three-time Olympian, Matt Graham has been a consistent force in international freestyle moguls skiing for more than a decade. He made his Olympic debut at Sochi 2014 before claiming a memorable silver medal at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics, one of Australia’s standout performances at the Games. Matt’s selection as flag bearer reflects not only his competitive success, but also his leadership, professionalism and the respect he has earned within the Australian Olympic team.

His journey to the world stage began as an athlete with the Central Coast Academy of Sport, where he was supported through the Regional Academies of Sport network during his formative development years. That early exposure to high-performance environments played a key role in setting the foundation for his long-term success.

Matt’s rise from regional sport to Olympic medalist and flag bearer highlights the strength of regional pathways and the importance of providing talented athletes with the support, opportunities and belief to pursue their ambitions.

The Regional Academies of Sport proudly congratulate Matt Graham on this outstanding achievement and wish him every success as he leads Australia into the opening ceremony at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
