The South West Sydney Academy of Sport (SWSAS) is pleased to announce the expansion of its partnership with Campbelltown Catholic Club as the academy’s Major Partner for 2026.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing local athletic talent, supporting young people, and investing in the future of high-performance sport in South West Sydney.
As one of the region’s most respected community organisations, Campbelltown Catholic Club has a proud history of investing back into South West Sydney through sport, education, and community initiatives. This partnership will support athletes across multiple sports, providing access to elite coaching, performance services, and development opportunities while helping remove barriers for talented local athletes.
Campbelltown Catholic Club Chief Marketing Officer, Graeme Derrig, said the partnership was a natural alignment of values and purpose.
“Campbelltown Catholic Club has always been deeply committed to supporting our local community, particularly young people and grassroots sport,” Mr Derrig said.
“Becoming the naming and major partner of the South West Sydney Academy of Sport allows us to help build genuine pathways for aspiring athletes in our region and ensure talent developed in South West Sydney can compete at the highest level.”
The South West Sydney Academy of Sport plays a critical role in identifying, nurturing, and developing emerging athletes, many of whom progress to state, national, and professional representation. The partnership will enhance the Academy’s ability to deliver high-performance programs, education, and wellbeing support across multiple disciplines.
Martin Bullock, Regional Manager of the South West Sydney Academy of Sport, welcomed the partnership.
“This is a transformative partnership for our Academy,” he said.
“Campbelltown Catholic Club’s commitment to community and excellence aligns strongly with our mission. Their support will allow us to expand our programs, better support our athletes, and continue developing the next generation of sporting talent from South West Sydney.”
Beyond elite sport, the partnership underscores Campbelltown Catholic Club’s broader role as a community leader, reinforcing its investment in health, participation, and opportunities for local youth to thrive not only as athletes, but as individuals.
